Loneliness is a type of disconnection in which we feel trapped and alone, facing a hostile universe. The thing we miss the most when we are lonely is a home where we can feel we belong. The easiest thing is to look around us and search for it outside of us, in all kinds of places. No matter how far we search, it escapes us. We have to stop searching and look within, and we can see that the place where we feel most safe is our own soul.
